The small print
Accessibility
Both kinds: getting through the website, and getting through the front door. A statement with no way to report a problem is decoration, so the reporting route is at the bottom and it is a real one.
What the site is built to
WCAG 2.2 at level AA. That is the standard, not a marketing phrase, and the specific things it means here are worth naming.
- Text sits at 4.5 to 1 contrast or better against its background, and large text at 3 to 1. The pale palette this category loves is the single biggest cause of contrast failures on the web, so ours was checked as it was built rather than at the end.
- Every control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring that is never hidden behind a sticky header.
- Nothing moves on its own. The swatch ring on the home page responds to you, and under a reduced-motion setting it draws one still frame and stays there.
- Nothing is icon-only. Every link and button has words, because an empty button is invisible to a screen reader.
- All text is real text. Nothing important is baked into an image, and nothing is drawn inside the 3D canvas.
- The site works with JavaScript switched off, and it works without 3D support. Those are designed versions, not broken ones.
What we know is imperfect
The swatch ring is a visual object. It is described to a screen reader, it can be moved with the arrow keys, and everything it tells you is also written out underneath it in text: the level, the name, and the lighting. But it is a picture of hair, and a picture of hair is not the same as seeing it. If you want the colours described properly, phone us and we will describe them.
The availability grid is dense. It is a real table of times with real buttons, but if it is hard going, 250 555 0148 reaches a person who will read the same times to you.
Getting through the front door
Steps, parking, scent, noise, and silent appointments are all stated plainly on the find us page, so nobody has to phone a stranger and ask.
Telling us something is wrong
Email hello@micahair.example or phone 250 555 0148 and say what happened and what you were using. We will fix it first and discuss it after. Anyone who reports an access problem has done us a favour and gets told what changed.

This is a description of how the site was built, written by the people who built it. It is not a certification, and no automated checker can prove a site is usable. If it did not work for you, the statement above is wrong and we want to know.
